The Force is strong in the Star Wars Blu-ray Edition, finally for pre-order

Before Avatar, there was Star Wars, a long time ago in a theater far, far away. While Avatar has come to Blu-ray, Star Wars remains Blu-ray-less, but you can pre-order it now.

Indeed, as expected, Star Wars Blu-ray details have been announced at CES. There will be three different sets, and you can pre-order now (although you will be waiting for September, to get them).

Set one is the full six episode set. MSRP is $140, but Amazon.com is pre-selling it for $90. This nine disc set includes three additional discs, with "more than 30 hours of extensive special features including never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes, an exploration of the exclusive Star Wars archives, and much more."

Then there are both prequel only, and original trilogy sets. These three disc sets retail for $70, but once again Amazon.com (Prequel, Original) has them for much less, $45. These sets include "never-before-seen deleted and alternate scenes, an exploration of the exclusive Star Wars archives, and more."

The Force is strong in these sets. Once again, if you want to pre-order:

Nine Disc Fuil Set: MSRP $140, Amazon.com $90
Prequel: MRSP $70, Amazon.com $45
Original: MSRP $70, Amazon.com $45

The full press release follows, as well as a trailer.
